SUP NEW FOREST
ABOUT THE CLUB
Welcome to SUP New Forest.
We are a club of friendly SUP paddlers enjoying each others company on regular paddles at locations in or around the New Forest.
We are affiliated to the British Stand Up Paddle Association (BSUPA).
We are a not for profit group which is born from the success of the paddles organised by "The New Forest Paddle Sports Company".
The group is focused on adult paddlers however minors can join the paddles subject to supervision by a parent or legal guardian (please ask for details).
We are getting ready to start the club up again after an enforced absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The plan will be to restart the club from 1 September 2020 with a reduced fee for the rest of the year (until 31 March 2021) of £10.
During July and August we will continue to monitor the situation and will give all current members, and anyone else who is interested access to the closed Facebook site where you can arrange socially distanced informal paddles with friends (no more than 6).
Please remember that if you have any symptoms (temperature, new persistent cough, lost of taste/smell) then you/household members should stay at home and get a test:
We are still working through the practicalities and will be subject to continuing government advice. Check out the BSUPA advice by clicking below.
Annual Membership normally costs £25.
Guests £5 per paddle (please ensure any guest has suitable SUP experience to complete the paddle they register to join)
Regular organised paddles in a variety of locations
10% discount off RRP at The New Forest Paddle Sport Company (from September 2020)
(Not applicable with any other offer)
Once you have become a member you will have access to the Facebook Members Group and website Members Area, where details of all the up and coming paddles will be listed for you to register

Paddler Guidelines and the Star Rating System for paddles are available in the Club Documents area of the website. These have been developed as a result of member and paddle lead feedback, and should help members understand how we can all support each other on paddles, and how to decide which paddles are suitable for their level of experience. We hope you find them helpful!
If you are a member, please register for each paddle on the Member's page of the site (see joining details above), alternatively you can join us as a guest for £5 per paddle (email for more information including times and locations).
If for any reason, you are unable to attend a paddle you have registered for - the easiest way to let us know, is to go back to the members area and select the 'Register Now' and then 'RSVP' section for that paddle, then select 'Un-register'.
We understand that sometimes things crop up at the last minute or traffic affects your travel time, and you may not be able to contact us to let us know - this is why we allow a half hour window between arriving for a paddle and launching. However, for the convenience of all paddlers, we do need to set off at the specified launch time, and cannot wait for latecomers. Thank you for your understanding.
We keep an eye on the weather in the days prior to any paddle and will usually add any warnings or updates to the paddle details on the website. Sometimes it is possible to relocate a paddle, this will usually be added to the website as a 'last minute' paddle - but only members who have registered for a paddle will receive a cancellation email.
